Coronation

I got into a philosophical music arguement with a few coworkers today on Michael Jackson's legacy. Its obvious he was a creep, but I think thats what happens to all musical legends (see Phil Spector and his recent escapades). Regardless, yesterday the world witnessed the passing of a legend and probably one of the most influential musical figures we will witness in our lifetime.

To keep this short, I think a lot of people base MJ's career off of a handful of songs (Beat It, Thriller, Billie Jean, Bad, Black And White, etc). I will admit, everything he made after Thriller was complete garbage. If you just look at Off The Wall and Thriller (a perfect album), that should be enough credentials to make you a musical legend in itself. Almost every song off of these two albums are amazing, and you all should listen to them.

acutally, he was never really that much of a creep. if you're referring to his pedophilia, go look it up on google: there was no solid evidence ever proving his supposed pedophilia (thus the reason the courts never charged him guilty).

also, if you are associating his skin color change with "creep", he only did it because he had a skin cancer called vitiligo, a disorder that makes your skin turn white. it is common practice for doctors to recommend the patient bleach his or her skin so you don't look funny.

i think there are a lot of stereotypes that unfairly portrayed MJ as a bad person. i'm not saying that he a perfect person (cause he was far from it due to his drug addictions and other struggles) but i'm pretty confident he can't be classified as a creep and shouldn't be the focus of stereotypical attacks.

hope you are having a good summer, border hopper..
